PAC Art Classes Continue
Back in the Saddle
Hello Art lovers,
I can't believe it's been so long since my last post. Much has happened in the last few weeks. 4 weeks ago, I was sure that Donna (my partner) & I would be buying an RV and shoving off to the East to search for a new home.
The housing market made us realize that we were probably meant to stay in Petaluma for some time. We removed our house from the market and have made an offer on a downtown location where we will hopefully move our business.
Whew! In the last couple of weeks, I also was honored at the US Naval Academy where one of my paintings now hangs as a commemoration of the "30 years of Women at USNA" celebration that took place September 7-10, 2006. It was an awesome event to see my artwork on posters, post cards, programs, stamps & as the lead & fade images for the video shown at the jam packed football stadium. Yep, I'm still a bit numb about it and can't express how honored I am. It was especially fun to get the word out that I am an artist. Most alumni from USNA are amazed that I've taken such an unusual career path. It's always fun to see the expression on people's face when I say "I'm an artist".
For those of you who will be around this weekend, Pelican Art is holding a 3rd Anniversary party on Saturday, September 23rd, from noon to 5pm on Saturday at 283B North McDowell Blvd (North of Trader Joe's near Longs). If you have any questions, please call 707-773-3393.
Thank you for reading the blog. I promise more in the near & far term!
w/smile,
Linda
