Call for Petaluma Artists

Posted August 20, 2006 2:34:00 PM

This is a call to artists in all media, 2D and 3D. If you didn't see this request before, there is still time to submit your photos and application - deadline is September 5th. Sorry, this first exhibit is limited to artists with a Petaluma address.

Aurora Colors new Fine Art Gallery in the Old Petaluma Opera House will open October 1, 2006. Owners, Lyndon and Vangie Pullins, are beginning with "Artists of Petaluma" Fine Art Exhibit and People's Choice Awards. To be shown from October 1 through 21, closed Mondays.

Visitors will place their votes throughout the exhibit.

Reception and People's Choice Awards will be on October 21 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Awards presentation is planned to begin at 6pm.

A portion of any art sales will benefit Cinnabar Theater and The Petaluma Arts Association to support local art programs. Sold art will not be removed from gallery until after the exhibit is closed.

This is a juried show. Artists may print Entry Form and Call for Entries details at http://www.glassart3.biz/AC/community/eventsnews.asp or pick them up at Aurora Colors, 145 Kentucky Street, Petaluma. Questions, call (707)762-0131.

"Artists of Petaluma" is in collaboration with Cinnabar Theater's event, "Taste of Petaluma" on October 21, 2006. For those details, call Cinnabar Theater at (707)763-8920 or go to their website at www.tasteofpetaluma.org.
