Guitar Gala starts at 7pm on Saturday!

I hope everyone has gotten their tickets to the Phoenix Guitar Gala. It's $30 for 1 ticket & $50 for 2 tickets. It promises to be a fantastic evening! I want to help make it clear that the event starts at 7pm (contrary to a couple of articles that said something different :-)....

My thanks to Virginia May for bringing Aboriginal art to us! If you've never seen (or if you have) a piece of original Aboriginal art, I highly recommend taking in the show at the Mohoney Library at the SRJC Petaluma Campus. It's an amazing process. Most of the artists use the end of a stick to place their dots into the gorgeous patterns. I tried to do something like this and it takes incredible patience and skill in getting the paint onto the tool and then to the canvas in a consistent way. For details, click on the more...

Boomerang Gallery "A New Hope" follows Guitar display

Vince Delgado is a master percussionist and composer who has played music for over fifty years. He is a jazz musician, Middle Eastern musician and has studied classical North Indian music extensively. He was the executive director of the Ali Akbar College of Music in 1968 under the guidance of the great sarodist Ali Akbar Khan. He performs classical and traditional Arabic and Turkish music. Throughout his career, he has performed with many jazz artists, Middle Eastern artists, and world music drummers from Latin America, Africa, India and the Orient. www.vincedelgado.com/
